One layer of DIY Detail 3-Year Graphene Ceramic Coating provides durable paint protection on its own. But if you want to combine compatible coating properties, The Stack lets you layer a 1-Year Graphene Ceramic Coating over the 3-Year Graphene Ceramic Coating during a specific application window.

Stacking coatings is not the same as applying multiple layers of the same product. This graphene ceramic coating kit combines the durable protection and gloss of the DIY Detail 3-Year Graphene Ceramic Coating with the extreme slickness and hydrophobic performance of the DIY Detail 1-Year Graphene Ceramic Coating. The result is enhanced gloss, smoother paint feel, and strong water behavior.

DIY Detail Type 3 Ceramic Coatings are PFAS-free and use instant-bond technology to simplify leveling during application. The TEOS-based formula is designed to help reduce clogging and improve resistance to fracturing, making this ceramic coating stack approachable for enthusiasts and professionals.

The vehicle can be driven one hour after application, even if rain is expected. Wait at least three days before washing with DIY Detail Incredible Suds or DIY Detail Rinseless Wash, and allow a full seven-day cure before routine washing when possible.

When to Apply the 1-Year Graphene Top Layer

Apply the 3-Year Graphene Ceramic Coating first. Then apply the 1-Year Graphene Ceramic Coating 1 to 8 hours later.

• Before 1 hour: Applying the 1-Year coating too soon may disrupt the 3-Year base coating.
• 1 to 8 hours: This is the recommended stacking window, allowing the coatings to interact and enhance the combined finish.
• After 8 hours: You can still apply the 1-Year Graphene Ceramic Coating, but it acts as a topcoat rather than a true coating stack.
